Unit Manager for National Control Unit 2

At the Swedish Migration Agency, we are working with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are about 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!

The Swedish Migration Agency aims to increase its ability to prevent and combat abuse.

As part of this, the Director General has decided to establish a national control unit and three regional control units. The national control unit belongs to the control and analysis section within the national operational department. We are now moving forward in the work, and from January 1, 2026, the current operational analysis unit will become national control unit 2.

We are now looking for a unit manager for national control unit 2, located in Sundbyberg.

About the National Control Unit

National Control Unit 2 will be tasked with detecting, preventing, and combating all forms of crime against and abuse of the Swedish Migration Agency's processes that pose a threat to Sweden's security or affect the Swedish welfare systems. The unit is responsible for coordinating efforts against human trafficking, combating incorrect payments, and addressing labor market crime. The unit has expertise in information processing and is also responsible for the agency's national tip-off function.

You report to the section manager and are part of the section's management group, working closely with the unit manager of national control unit 1.

You have a strong analytical ability and the capacity to see the big picture, which allows you to make well-founded decisions even in times of change. You are confident in yourself and demonstrate good judgment while creating engagement and building good collaborations.
